Sportsplex / Weight Room Hours:

May-August 2018:

Monday - Thursday: 7:15 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.      
Friday: 7:15 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. 

Weight Room 
Monday - Friday: 7:15 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.      
Friday: 7:15 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  

Please ensure you have your CapCard with you when using the weight room. A new card tap system has been installed on the door.  

Gym Drop-In Activities: 

Please call the front desk at 604-984-1737 to check gymnasium availability. The gymnasium will be closed from June 11-29 while the floor is being refinished.

Capilano University weight room in the Sportsplex:

  • Campus Rec 2018: 

    • Drop-in sports are available throughout the week 
    • Proper non-marking footwear is mandatory (no sandals, boots, dress shoes)
    • Valid Cap Card is mandatory
    • For paid programs, please pay at front desk before entering class

      Whether you are a student who is serious about athletics and wants to join a varsity team, or more into casual fitness, there’s something for you at Capilano University. Capilano University has an exceptional athletics program, with varsity teams in soccer, basketball and volleyball. Students can also fit in a workout between classes or participating in the many active programs or clubs. 

    Capilano Basketball League (CBL):

    The CBL is a recreational and competitive basketball league that features some of the top men’s basketball teams across the North Shore and Lower Mainland. There are A and B Divisions, with both tiers featuring high-level players – several of which played at the college and university level.
