English Diagnostic Test

If you are planning to enrol in an English course for the first time, you must submit the results of your English Diagnostic Test (EDT) prior to registration. The test fee is $35 (subject to change). Contact us to register for the next exam.

Linda Carney Access Centre

The Linda Carney Access Centre provides free computer and Internet access for students and community members.

Financial Aid

Need financial assistance? A variety of grants, loans, scholarships and bursaries are available to students in credit and upgrading programs. For details, call the Financial Aid Office in North Vancouver at 604.984.4966.

ABESAP Grant

The Adult Basic Education Association of BC provides grants to ABE students who demonstrate financial need.

Squamish Chamber of Commerce Bursary

A bursary is available to students taking classes at any Capilano University campus who are residents of Squamish, Britannia Beach or Furry Creek.

Linda Carney Bursary

Residents of the Howe Sound Corridor who are enrolled at Capilano University in Squamish are eligible for this bursary.

Information Resource Centre

The Squamish campus offers an Information Resource Centre equipped with networked computers that provide access to the Capilano University Library Web site. This site has links to the Library catalogue, journal databases (full-text and citations), library guides to various disciplines, as well as access to the World Wide Web.

Research assistance is available by calling the Library reference desk at the North Vancouver campus at 604.984.1769. Books and journal articles can be requested from the main campus library and shipped via courier to the Squamish campus.

Specialized assistance with learning strategies and study skills is available at the Squamish campus. Services include:

  • Scheduled workshops on study techniques and exam writing
  • Personal assistance to help develop individual learning strategies
