Regional Literacy Coordination

Capilano University works with community partners to raise awareness of literacy issues, to encourage community collaboration and strategic planning around literacy, to provide professional development in the field of literacy practice, and to develop and support adult and family literacy initiatives throughout the region. Some initiatives include the annual Breakfast of (Literacy) Champions, the Scrabble for Literacy fundraiser, and the Faces of High Scope Family Education Program.
