Library Classroom Use Policy
The Library Classroom (LB 119) is used extensively for Library instruction throughout the term. In order to maximize use of this classroom for other purposes without interfering with Library instruction, the following guidelines have been developed by the Library:
- Priority is given to library instruction classes.
- All non-library classes will be scheduled at the discretion of the Reference Librarian.
- All library and non-library classes must be booked with the Reference Librarian at least one week in advance of the scheduled time.
- Term bookings will not be accommodated.
- Multiple bookings in advance will not be accommodated during peak periods.
- Peak periods during which Library instruction activity requires continued access to the Library classroom are as follows:
- Fall term: 15 September - 15 November
- Spring term: 15 January - 15 March
- When not booked, the classroom may be used for student group study, at the discretion of the Librarian on reference duty.
- Any group using the Library Classroom must ensure that classroom furniture is left arranged in the same manner it was found.
- No food or drink is permitted except for special occasions with prior approval of the Reference Librarian.
