SUMMER 2012 U-PASS BC

The first month of the SUMMER 2012 U-PASS (May) will be available after 11:00am on Friday, April 20th.

QUICK FACTS:

• All fees MUST BE PAID IN FULL or have a FEE DEFERRAL in place before obtaining a U-Pass
• Cost is $120/term
• U-Pass BC consists of four one-month passes issued monthly and obtained each month at one of 4 dispensing stations (2 in Library Building and 2 in Birch Building)
• Each U-Pass BC is only valid for the calendar month indicated on the front. The U-Pass BC for the next month will be made available at the dispensers from 11:00am on the 20th (or next business day) of each month
• Participation in U-Pass BC is mandatory
• U-Pass BC Passes cannot be mailed - they must be obtained from a dispenser
• Proof of eligibility is required by TransLink– a valid Capilano University student photo id card must be carried with your U-Pass
• One replacement pass (lost or stolen) is allowed per month at a cost of $35
• Online, off campus, and non-credit Continuing Education students are not eligible for the pass
• Eligible HandyDart users can now use their U-Pass BC on HandyDart trips
• If a student takes a U-Pass from the dispensing machine they can no longer be exempted for that particular month
• If a student applies for an exemption because they have a valid U-Pass from another institution, they must provide ID from the other instituion as backup for their exemption request

To be eligible for a U-Pass BC, a student must meet the following conditions during EACH MONTH of the U-Pass BC term:

• a full-time student (minimum 10 hours per week) or a part-time student (minimum 12 hours per month) registered in a course lasting at least 3 consecutive weeks
• with a course load totalling 3 or more credits
