Lesley Richmond

LESLEY RICHMOND (Dyeing, Surface Design) studied art at Trent Park College in London, England and at Western Washington University in the U.S. where she received her master's degree in Education. Her works are represented in many private, corporate and public collections in Canada, England, U.S. and Japan. She was nominated in l993 for the Saidye Bronfman Award and in 1997 for the Chalmers Award. In 2001 she won the Marianne Kor Award for Distinguished International Entry.

An article on Lesley Richmond's work appeared in Surface Design Magazine, Summer 2001- entitled "Informed Source".

In 2003 Lesley was awarded the Surface Design Award at the SDA conference in Kansas City for a piece entitled "Up Close and Far Away".

Lesley's work appeared in the spring 2003 edition of the German Textile magazine Textile Forum.
