Past graduates of the Textile Arts Program are working professionally as artists, craftspeople or designers in fashion or design. Some have found employment in the film industry while others work in related cultural and private enterprises. Additional education or practical experience may be required to gain entry into various fields listed below.

CRAFTS: Business owner/operator selling unique clothing items, accessories, wall pieces, interior design items; organizing craft events (markets).

TEXTILE PRODUCTION: Production of printed or woven goods in private business or working for a larger manufacturer.

MUSEUMS: Textile specialist for anthropology or conservation techniques.

FILM, THEATRE: Dyer/designer for costumes for films and theatre productions.

FASHION: Designer/maker of unique dyed/woven garments, accessories.

INTERIOR DESIGN: Designer/maker of printed, painted and woven fabrics for furnishings and interior design needs.

EDUCATION: Teacher of textile techniques to all age groups.

GALLERIES: Contemporary textile artist exhibiting work; organizing exhibitions and gallery events.

TEXTILE HISTORY: Specialization in historical textiles for academic research.

TEXTILE INDUSTRY DESIGN: Designing textiles for the home furnishing and fashion industries.

TEACHING arts and crafts to seniors, children and adults in various schools or institutional settings.
