How To Apply
The Rehabilitation Assistant Diploma program is now full for Fall 2012 intake. We are currently accepting applications for Fall 2013. If you are interested in taking this program in 2013, contact us to place your name on our interest list and we will notify you of the next information session once scheduled. Remember that there are only 20 student spaces available in the program each year. Before you begin
- Please review the Admission Requirements for the Rehabilitation Assistant Program in the online calendar:
- To be eligible for admission, you must meet the admission requirements, and all other entrance requirements identified for the program you have chosen.
- If you are currently upgrading to meet the requirements or are in the process of graduating high school, you may still apply to the university.
Prepare for your application
- Gather official high school and post-secondary transcripts (if not previously submitted) and other pertinent documents required for admission into your program.
- Review the Fees & Fee Payment section and have the appropriate application fee and document evaluation fee (where required) ready.

Document submission
- After completing the online application process, or filling out an Application for Admission form, you will need to submit your official transcripts and document evaluation fee (where required) by mail to the Registrar's Office:

NOTE: To make it easy for yourself, you may choose to bring all these required Program Admission documents to the Program Information Meeting and submit them at that time.
- Provide a handwritten Letter of Interest describing why you would like to enter the field of rehabilitation and why you would be an excellent candidate for admission. Please be sure to include a telephone number where you may be contacted.
- Updated resume.
- Three (3) letters of reference, from employers or responsible persons in the community, one of which must certify the successful completion of a minimum of 50 hours of volunteer or paid experience working with people who have experienced disease or injury.
- Physician's letter confirming good physical health including the ability to lift and transfer 50 lbs. Download medical form.
- Applicants are required to obtain a criminal record check through our RADP department. For information see Criminal Record Check.
- Letter from an employer or teacher verifying that you are computer literate and able to perform basic computer operations.
- Applicants who submit all documentation by the set deadline indicated at the Information Session will be considered by the RADP Department's screening committee. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by phone 1-2 weeks after submission deadline to attend 1-1 interview with faculty.

Attend A Program Information Meeting
This is a mandatory requirement for our application process. Meetings are generally scheduled from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on weeknights.
Please call our office at 604.984.4960 to register for one of the Program Information Meetings or Contact us.
For those applicants living outside the lower mainland area, these sessions may be conducted over the phone or by distance format.
Complete A 20 Minute Written English Placement Test
This will be available for you to take at the conclusion of the Program Information Meeting.
Pre-screening Results
Applicants who have been successful in the pre-screening process, including the review of the resume and results of the English placement test, will be contacted within one week of the Program Information Meeting to attend an interview if their documents were submitted at the time of the Program Information Session. Documents which are submitted later will be included in the next scheduled selection review.
If you have been successful, you will receive a telephone call inviting you to the interview with a specific date, time and location.
Applicants who have not been successful in the pre-screening process will have all submitted documents returned in the mail.
Attend An Interview With Faculty

Notification of Application Results
Candidates are notified within one week following the interview regarding their acceptance. If accepted into the program, details regarding the registration procedure will be outlined in the acceptance letter.
