Research Journal Literature
At its core, psychology is an empirical science or field of study. This means that all its facts, claims and theories are ultimately based upon empirical psychological research. Academic psychologists spend the bulk of their time conducting research in their chosen fields of expertise and publish this research in an array of peer-reviewed research journals. As you progress in your studies of psychology, you will increasingly be expected to use this material in assignments and projects. As well, you may also need to begin conducting your own research as part of the assignments in your course.
