German

All courses in German consist weekly of three hours of lecture, one hour of conversation, and assignments in the multimedia lab on a drop-in basis (involving approximately 45 minutes).  The German Department occasionally offers German language courses in an accelerated format which allows students to complete both first and second year German in one school year (Fall and Spring semesters). Please check the current academic timetable for further details.

For assistance in determining what level of German to register in, please check out the German Language Registration Chart. Beginning German I (German 100) is for students with little or no knowledge of the German language. Students with German 11 credit should register in Beginning German (German 101), and students with German 12 credit should register in Intermediate German (German 200 or 201).  Students with a German Abitur are not permitted to enrol in any German language courses at Capilano University. Students who are not sure of their language level should e-mail the instructor Meike Wernicke-Heinrichs .
