Language Tuition Award
This new award is intended to encourage students in language courses to continue their language studies at Capilano University. The award will cover the cost of tuition when the student registers for a third course in their chosen language. Process:
This award is for a student who has previously taken two courses in one language and registers for the third. The eligible languages are Chinese, French, German, Japanese and Spanish offered only through the Languages Department in the Humanities Division. The student must be taking - or have taken - at least one course in a different language. The student must have a minimum letter grade of B in all language courses. This award is open to all students. There are no financial requirements. Please note:
- Candidates are required to submit a statement (approximately 150-words) explaining their interest and reason for studying languages
- The Language Scholarship Committee will act as a jury to decide the recipient
- This award will be applied as tuition when the recipient registers in the higher level course (the third course)
- The Language Department Tuition Award will be part of the University award ceremony
