About Kinesiology

The Capilano University Department of Kinesiology offers first-year university courses in kinesiology, designed for students planning on transferring to Simon Fraser University for second year for completion of a major or a degree in the subject.

University Transfer

Transfers to Simon Fraser University Kinesiology Program

The Biomedical and Kinesiology program at SFU offers three different areas of concentration:

(1) Active Health and Rehabilitation, (2) Health and Physiological Sciences, and (3) Ergonomics and Human Factors.

Transfers to the University of British Columbia School of Kinesiology Program

Capilano University Kinesiology courses transfer to the UBC School of Kinesiology, which offers three areas of concentration:

(1) Physical and Health Education, (2) Kinesiology and Health Sciences, and (3) Interdisciplinary Studies.

Transfers to the University of Victoria

The University of Victoria's School of Exercise Science, Physical and Health Education also accepts transfer of Kinesiology courses from Capilano University. To determine which courses are transferable, advisors at UVic and/or Capilano University should be consulted.
