Instrumental Jazz Ensembles

Large instrumental jazz ensemble options include two (first-rate) big-bands, the "A-Band" and "3:30 Band", the saxophone and brass ensembles, percussion ensemble and guitar/bass ensemble, all of which perform a variety of repertoire, including arrangements by students and instructors in the program and works representing different facets of jazz. Small jazz ensembles (combos) are part of every year of the program and perform throughout each term, receiving instruction as a large class as well as individual combo coaching."
