What do you do after you’re admitted?
You will be mailed a letter of admission when you are accepted to Capilano University.
All international students must have a valid Study Permit (SP) to study in Canada. Your letter of admission will include an Immigration Form for Citizenship and Immigration Canada so that you may apply for a Study Permit to study in Canada. When you take this document to a Canadian embassy, consulate or high commission, you will also be asked for proof of financial support and completion of a medical examination.
Many students also require a Temporary Resident Visa before they can enter Canada. Students must apply for this when they apply for a Study Permit at a Canadian Embassy. Students should check the Canadian Citizenship and Immigration website to determine if they require a Temporary Resident Visa.
