Live your dream in beautiful British Columbia!

Are you looking for a career in an industry with global career options? Over 900 million people traveled internationally in 2008 – why not become one of them by traveling to Capilano University to study tourism management?

Learn about the tourism industry and gain key management skills to use in your new career during this two-year diploma. Join your instructors on field trips, gain knowledge from guest speakers, and participate in hands-on activities with your classmates who have come to North Vancouver from around the world. We don’t just sit in a classroom here!

All of your courses will have a spotlight on tourism. The business and management courses you will take are set apart from average business courses by engaging students with a tourism focus. We offer specialized tourism courses such as:

  • hospitality management
  • technology in tourism
  • cross cultural tourism
  • adventure and ecotourism
  • heritage, arts and culture

A two-month work practicum helps you increase your knowledge and confidence with hands-on experience. We offer a preparation course to ensure that you are ready for this opportunity to work in British Columbia’s own tourism industry – this may be your first taste of the opportunities available to you in your new career in tourism at the international level!
