Computer System

Students are required to supply and maintain a personal laptop computer which meets the minimum specifications of the department. The Macintosh is the computer system chosen for the Diploma Program. Each student supplies and maintains their personal Macintosh computer for the following reasons:

• To provide the student with unlimited access to essential tools.
• To equip the student with necessary tools for employment.
• To foster the development of a flexible skill set which is generic and transferable across multiple computing platforms.

Minimum Computer Requirements - Fall Term, 2010

Note:

Students who already own an Apple laptop computer may have their system qualified by the department before purchasing a new system.
