About Interactive Design
Design Your Future Today
Interactive Design is a flexible program for creative individuals with a strong desire to establish a career in interaction design and development. We believe an understanding of the medium is important to technique, so our curriculum is founded on conceptual fundamentals of communication and interactivity on websites and through mobile devices. Of course, you will need a focused and relevant set of skills for a competitive edge: the ability to deliver an interactive experience that meets the requirements of people and businesses. You will receive face-to-face instruction from industry insiders in a dedicated, up-to-date lab, using your own computer and software.
The first year of the Interactive Design program encompasses all of the skills necessary to plan, design and implement and produce interactive content for websites and web based applications. In the second year, you will pursue advanced studies in web and mobile design and development, rich media production, analytics, business strategy and new media industry analysis. The program concludes with a six-week work internship, providing the opportunity to gain real-world experience with notable new media design and development companies.

Learning Environment
The Lab
The Interactive Design Lab is where all of the instruction and practical work takes place. Students also have access to production computers and equipment for audio recording, editing and mixing; digital cameras to shoot, capture, edit and composite digital video and still images. To facilitate cross-platform development and testing, a usability testing suite is available to record screen and video footage of interactivity tests.
The Hub
The Hub is our online communication, conferencing and collaboration site. Students, staff, and faculty use the site for daily communications and for access to online course materials. Students receive course notes, submit assignments, hold discussions and plan course activities on The Hub. The Hub is a host for a number of user communities and departments. It enables us to collaborate and to communicate anywhere and everywhere. It is an integral part of the Interactive Design program.
