For admissions and registration information/procedures, please review Admission & Registration on the University Web site. Students must satisfy the Admission Requirements when applying for the Human Kinetics Diploma program or for individual Human Kinetics courses.

Human Kinetics admission requirement:

 

The application deadline is March 15 and all documents must be submitted by March 31. Please contact the Human Kinetics office to check the Human Kinetics Program admission status.

1. Letter of Interest:

An original signed Letter of Interest is required identifying the following:

- The applicants choice of stream (Exercise Science or Physical Education)
- The reasons why the applicant is interested in studying Human Kinetics,
- Include a brief description of the applicants career goal,
- Include the applicants past history pertaining to Human Kinetics,

2. Two Letters of Reference :

- Two original signed letters of reference including Referees name, address and title.  For a Reference Letter sample please visit the Human Kineitcs Website link to Reference Letter sampe:  Personal Reference Letters must be completed by professionals; example, teacher, coach, employer, family doctor, lawyer, dentist, etc. The letters must be signed by the author.

3. Transcripts:
- Returning Capilano University students who have attended classes for the current Fall or Spring term do not have to submit a transcript.
- Applicants from other Colleges/Universities must provide a copy of your official transcript to the Human Kinetics Department. The official transcript must be submitted to the Registrar.
- Grade 12 students applying to the HKIN program must submit a copy of your Interim Transcript. This may be requested from your school administration. The official transcript must be submitted to the Registrar. This will also inform the selection committee of what courses you are presently taking, and will assist the committee to offer a strong graduating.

4. Optional supporting documentation:
Your Resume (Curriculum Vitae) may aid in the selection process. It may be submitted with your Letter of Interest and Reference Letters.

Program Registration Limit

The Human Kinetics Program is limited to 80 students. It is recommended that interested students apply to Capilano University at their earliest convenience. Students selected for the program will be notified by mail.

Capilano University Registration Applications must be sent to the Registrar's Office. The Letter of Interest and Letters of Reference must be sent to the Department of Human Kinetics.

The Human Kinetics Diploma Program at Capilano University is now accepting applications for next Sept.  The application deadline is March 15 and all documents must be submitted by March 31.
