Pierre COUPEY

Pierre COUPEY, BA (McGill), MA (UBC)

Pierre has retired as a full-time instructor at Capilano (1970 – 2003), so we are delighted to welcome him back teaching again, starting with this Fall term.  Pierre was a founding co-editor of The Georgia Straight in 1967 and the founding Editor of The Capilano Review (www.thecapilanoreview.ca) in 1971. Since 1964 he has published several books and exhibited paintings and prints in solo and group shows in several major cities throughout the world.  His work (coupey.ca) is included in numerous private, corporate, university and public collections, including those of the Burnaby Art Gallery, the Canada Council Art Bank, the Kamloops Art Gallery, the Simon Fraser University Art Gallery, the Two Rivers Art Gallery, the University of Lethbridge Art Gallery, and the Vancouver Art Gallery. His work is represented in Vancouver by Gallery Jones, where he will have a further solo show this Fall.
