Aurelea MAHOOD

Aurelea MAHOOD, BA (Hons.) (SFU), MA (Toronto), DPhil (Oxford)

Dr. A. Mahood
Aurelea Mahood joined the Department of English at Capilano University in 2005. Her research interests include 20th-century British literature - especially all things modernist, graphic, and electronic. In November 2010, Aurelea attended the Modernist Studies Association (MSA12) in Victoria and presented a paper on "digital modernism" with Brian Ganter (Capilano) and Andrew Klobucar (NJIT).  In particular, her current work explores the art of collaboration as influenced by the interplay between late modernism and technology. She is a member of the Modernist Studies Association and ELO and has recently published Modernism: An Introduction (Edinburgh University Press, 2007).  When not surrounded by piles of printed matter, Aurelea can be found riding and running the local trails. Current favourite bike trails: Bob Sled and Half Nelson. For of Aurelea on bikes, see her 2009 article in The Capilano Review's Moodyville issue
