Early Childhood Educator Assistant

This program offers students the opportunity to be eligible to apply for a licence as an Early Childhood Educator Assistant as defined by the Child Care Licensing Regulations. The program involves taking one course in the ECCE department. Licensing information can be found on the ECE Registry website.

Who should apply?
Students wishing to take an Early Childhood Education course to be eligible to apply for a licence to pratice as an Early Childhood Educator Assistant should apply.

Career & Educational Opportunities
To work as a licenced Early Childhood Educator Assistant in licensed preschools and child care centres in BC.

Application/Admission Notes
Information meetings will be held throughout the year; attendance at a meeting is strongly encouraged. Information regarding the programs offered and details about the application procedure will be provided at these meetings.

Completion of one of the following courses allows you to apply to the Ministry of Children for a license to work as an Assistant in Early Childhood Education.

Who can apply for the ECE Assistant program?
Anyone who has not previously taken a course with the Capilano University ECCE Department may apply to take one of these courses. If you wish to take subsequent ECCE courses, please apply to either the Diploma or Degree streams.

What do courses cost and what are the payment options?
