JANET C.E. WATERS, BA (Hons.), MA, PhD (SFU)
Office: Fir 409
Tel: 2475
E-mail: jawaters@capilanou.ca
Dr. Janet Waters has taught Organizational Behaviour for the Commerce program since 1990 and has been teaching psychology courses at Capilano University since 1987. Her research and teaching interests in psychology are in the areas of emotion, cognition and personality, and she also explores these topics in writing science fiction. In OB, she is most interested in the topics of ethics, leadership, and stress in organizations. In this post-Enron 21st century global economy, there is a desperate need for ethical leadership in the public & private sector organizations on which our society depends. Her most frequent comment in teaching OB is "It depends!" The fun is in discovering what those contingencies are.

Twice a year, she facilitates the CMA Entrance Examinations sessions, preparing students for their professional examinations. Judith likes to ski, golf, attend Canuck games and gamble in Ken Towson's hockey pool. Judith enjoys music and, fulfilling a long held wish, finally started piano lessons last year.
