Rorri McBlane: Degree/Credentials: B.Ed., M.Ed. (Alberta)
Rorri has been teaching for over 35 years in 3 different countries, and has been an administrator at the University of Alberta, UBC, and Vancouver Community College. He spent three years in Ghana, West Africa and two years in Papua New Guinea. Traveled widely throughout Africa, Europe, and the South Pacific. International Student Advisor at the U of A. Executive Director of International House and International Student Advisor at the University of British Columbia. Director of International Programs for Vancouver Community College; International Admissions Officer at Capilano College. Work experience in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
Projects: Established the International House Briefing Centre, UBC, numerous program development projects with immigrant services agencies.
Tammy Towill: CMA; MBA
Tammy is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) with an MBA in International Management. Over the past nine years she has instructed business courses for BCIT, CMA and Capilano College. Tammy is a past president of the BC Chapter of the American Marketing Association (BCAMA) and is president of the independent management consulting firm, T.D. Taylor & Associates.
Chris Bottrill: B. SocSci, (Waikato), MA (Hons), PhD (Canterbury, NZ)
Chris has over 20 years of industry participation from front-line to management, policy and planning roles in a range of international contexts. He has taught tourism at the University of Colorado, Boulder, Victoria University of Wellington, Vancouver Native Education Centre and a range of other institutions. His key research interests include product development, resource management, community development, tourism organizations, ecotourism, and anything to do with Mountain Biking!
Gueorgui Nikolov: MSc (U of NWE, Sofia), PhD (U of London)
Gueorgui Nikolov is an economist who has extensive experience in the fields of agricultural economics, quantitative methods, and information technology. He has worked in the academic and public sectors as a system analyst, researcher, and instructor. He currently teaches a variety of information technology and quantitative methods courses for the Tourism and Outdoor Recreation department and the School of Business at Capilano College. Gueorgui holds a Master of Science in Economics from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, Bulgaria and a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics from the University of London, UK.
Peter J. Holden: BA (UBC); MBA (UBC); LL.B. (U. of Ottawa)
Peter was called to the B.C. Bar in 1983 and has been practicing law since then, primarily in the areas of corporate/commercial law, marketing and advertising law and trademarks. In 1989 he became a full-time instructor of Canadian Business Law at Capilano College. In 2002 he began teaching Canadian Business Law in the Outdoor Recreation program. He also teaches Management 101, Entrepreneurship, and International Trade Law. Peter has taught at UBC and at the Open University in HoChiMinh City, Viet Nam.
Greig Gjerdalen: BA, (SFU), APMCP Dipl, (Capilano College) MRM (SFU)
Greig is the coordinator for the Outdoor Recreation Management program at Capilano College. He is a member of the North Vancouver Outdoor Recreation Advisory Committee, advising on growth management issues related to Community Tourism and Recreation. Greig has worked internationally on community tourism projects in Cuba and Vietnam. He has extensive travel and work experience in some of the great wilderness areas of North America as an adventurer and professional guide.
