Behaviour Interventionist Position - Kitsilano
We are looking for 2 or 3 behaviour interventionists to join our 5- year old son's team who was recently diagnosed with Autism. You will be teaching our son communication, play, self-help and social skills under the supervision of a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst.
We are looking for somebody who would like to work in this field or a related field on a long-term basis. The ideal candidate is reliable, energetic, fun, patient, and very enthusiastic about working with children. Some experience working with young children with autism is highly preferred. Wages will depend on experience.
We are looking to fill the following shifts: Mon- Fri 9-11 AM and 4-6 PM. There is some flexibility with the hours. Meetings will be once per month and can be scheduled to fit everyone's schedule. You will be an active member of a team providing intensive intervention based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).

Summer Social, Vancouver's therapeutic summer camp, is seeking responsible, energetic individuals to serve as group leaders and/or behavioral interventionists July 3-18, 2012. Summer Social is located off Main St in Vancouver, and staff may choose to work half or full days. The hourly wage reflects experience and ranges from $15-25/hr for new staff.
Fluent in English
Must be 19 years of age or older
Work well in a team
Must have a current Criminal Record Check
Must be willing to commit to a one-year term
Must be able to provide 2 references
All staff attend a mandatory training in social thinking and applied behavior analysis in late Spring and a booster training session in late June.
