"I have always liked numbers and have had jobs in the past that involved accounting/bookkeeping but I wanted to know more so that I could start a good career for myself, so I looked into programs offered at Capilano. The Accounting Support Program was a great place to start as I was taught the accounting cycle, how to understand what accounting is really about and how it is applied in businesses today. I was not only taught accounting but I also improved my computer skills, typing skills, math and English. The instructors were very knowledgeable and very helpful. I learned in the classroom but also was placed in a 2-week work experience that was very interesting because I received to opportunity to apply my education in the business world.
