Accounting Support

THIS PROGRAM BEGINS IN JANUARY OF EACH YEAR
Do you like working with numbers? Do you want to improve your computer skills? How can you qualify for a good job? Consider the Accounting Support program. Every organization needs people who can keep track of accounts and process a wide variety of business transacations quickly and efficiently. After six months, you will qualify to work as a full-charge accountant in a small business, as an accounting clerk in a medium or large business, or as a self-employed bookkeeper.

The Accounting Support program is a full-time, 6-month program from January to June. It includes manual and computer accounting systems and applications, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, in addition to general accounting procedures and business writing.

You will gain practical experience and the opportunity to network in the two-week work practicum.

The Accounting Support Program at Capilano is a great program; it gives a real insight to the careers and opportunities available in the field. The instructors in the program are very helpful and have work experience in accounting.
