Cap Jazz Series

An annual series of eight to ten concerts featuring the crème de la crème of today’s jazz artists. Many shows feature guest artists in performance with our premier student ensembles - “A” Band and NiteCap.

Cap Global Roots Series

Our popular series featuring the best of folk, roots and world music from Canada and beyond presented in partnership with the North Shore Credit Union Centre for the Performing Arts, the Rogue Folk Club and the Vancouver Folk Music Festival.

Cap Theatre Series

A six to seven play season featuring Exit 22 productions and Arts Club Theatre touring presentations. The Theatre Department’s Exit 22 productions are comprised of Mainstage performances and On-Stage performances which feature a more intimate seating arrangement.

Pacific Arbour Speaker Series

A series of distinguished authors, scholars, artists, public figures and other leading personalities. This series is made possible through the generous support of Pacific Arbours Retirement Communities.

Cap Choral/Classical Series

A combined program of instrumental and choral concerts performed by the Capilano University Wind Ensemble, Capilano University Festival Chorus, Cecilia Ensemble Women’s Choir and Capilano Univsersity Singers. A popular offering of this series is a free Friday recital series that features faculty, alumni and guest artists.

Special Events

Every year we feature shows that belong in their own 'special' category. Family fare, comedy and annual traditional shows such as Winter Harp have been featured in this series.

Cap Film Series

Presented in partnership with the DOXA Documentary Film Festival, the Cap Film Series aims to present thought-provoking films followed with a talk and Q&A session with a guest speaker. Each screening will begin with a short film by students in the Capilano U film programs.
