Capital Improvement Fee

The Capital Improvement fee will be attached to your ticket cost; therefore, the cost is paid by your patrons, rather than you, the user. Most ticket buyers are accustomed to these types of service charges as they are standard across the industry. The CIF will be invoiced based on the ticket stubs collected at the end of each event. Comp tickets are exempt from this fee, so please submit the number of comp tickets issued so we can deduct them from this count. There will be no CIF charged to non-ticketed events; however, a flat fee of $250 will apply to festival style events, where attendees pay a fee to participate in the festival. Again, this cost is meant to be paid by the participants, not by you.

Technical Support

The Technical Director will discuss technical requirements with all user groups and recommend staffing levels to provide appropriate service and safety.  Up to 5 hours of our production technician's time are included with the theatre rental.  All other staffing costs are the sole responsibility of the user group.

The user group must communicate their technical requirements and provide a detailed production schedule for their event at least 2 weeks in advance of the event, in order to determine appropriate crew requirements.  Final determination of technical staffing will be at the discretion of the North Shore Credit Union Centre for the Performing Arts.

A Certificate of Insurance must be provided to the University in advance of the event. This should include a minimum of One Million Dollars ($1000,000.00) inclusive limit bodily injury/property damage. Insurance may be purchased through a company of your choice or through All Sport Insurance Marketing Ltd. at 604-737-3018.
