June 6, 2011 - Construction update

For the week of June 6-11:

Evening work will be focused on timber clean up and concrete deficiency corrections. Both activities will create minimal noise as they take place inside the building.

This week, work will commence on the construction of the new access road to the north side of the new building. This road starts at the east end of parking lot #3 and connects to the film centre past the north side of the existing film centre (P Building). This will entail the use of parking lot #3 located off Skeena Road and as such this parking lot will be unavailable for public use until the end of August.

Access to parking lot #2 along the west side of the existing film centre will be temporarily closed. Access to the lot will instead be available via Tantalus Road and the east access staircase, which is to be re-opened.
