You can take classes through Adult Basic Education in English, math, sciences, computers and study skills.

If you're a Canadian student, you're able to take English-as-a-second-language (ESL) classes for free.

And if you're 65 or older, you don't have to pay tuition for any course at CapU.

Note: For tuition-free courses Incidental Fees and Special Services Fees will still apply.

Deposit for new international students

If you're a new international student applying to Capilano University for the first time, you need to pay a one-time $5,000 deposit.

This deposit will be applied against your international tuition fees once you've registered in courses at the University. Any difference between the deposit and your first-term fees will be refunded to you by the end of the first term.

The deposit is not required from students in distance education programs, exchange programs, or government-sponsored study abroad.

If you've been denied a study permit/visa and are unable to attend Capilano University as a result, you'll be refunded the full amount of your deposit. Where a student is found to have provided fraudulent documentation as part of their study permit/visa application, a full refund may not be issued. The refund policy for students from India, Vietnam and the Philippines varies. Students from these countries should refer to their original Letter of Offer.

If you don't complete your registration at CapU, your deposit will be refunded, less a $500 administrative fee.
